Fire Detail Regulations

 

Paid Fire Details are required for the following activities:

  • Any cutting, welding, or burning operations inside a building.
  • Any cutting, welding, or burning operations aboard anyvessel, ship, or barge while located at any marine terminal in the City of Everett.
  • Any cutting, welding, or burning operations on docks, storage tanks,pipes or other equipment whatever, located in, or within the property line of a marine terminal or yard area
  • Any building undergoing demolition.
  • Whenever pyrotechnics are being displayed, stored, or assembled.
  • Any public or private event with an extraordinary large gathering of people.
  • Whenever conditions, if in the opinion of the Chief of the Fire Department,present themselves to be a hazard from fire, hazardous material, or to the safety,health and welfare of the general public.

Please call the Fire Prevention Office at (617) 394-2349 for additional information or to arrange for a fire detail. Please note that paid fire details need to be scheduled 24 hours in advance whenever possible.

Emergency details during non administrative office hours may be requested by calling our dispatch center at 617-387-7443 and leaving contact information for the on duty shift commander.
